Industrial Ladder & Scaffolding, Inc.  provides fixes access ladders in aluminum, steel or stainless steel.

All ladders are Custom Made. May be installed to outside of industrial buildings, towers, storage tanks, and municipal treatment facilities.  May be installed on inside walls to provide access to roof hatch or mezzanines.

All Ladders meet ANSI Standards and OSHA Requirements.

Standard Installation Considerations: ( As required by code)

Cages are required on all access ladders exceeding 20 feet with a maximum unbroken length of 30 feet (plus extensions)also recommended pr shorter ladders in hazardous locations..

Intermediate platforms or landings must be used at 30 foot intervals or fraction there of, when overall height exceeds 30 feet.

When intermediate platforms are used adjacent ladder sections are to be offset.

When exiting to the side at the top of the access ladder the ladder rung will continue 4 feet above the platform.

When exiting to the front at the top of the access ladder, boarding rails shall extend 42 inches above the top rungs.

Specifications:

A detailed drawing can be submitted for approval prior to our fabrication.  Drawing can include over-all dimensions and locations of wall and floor attachments.  Ladders shall be Model# AL-ACC                      

Rungs shall be no less than 1-1/4" diameter by 18-1/2" long, formed from tubular aluminum extrusions, alloy 6063-T5 and have deeply serrated grooves for safe grip and foot traction.  Ladders are tested to 1200 pounds and carry a 300 pound Duty Rating.

Ladder side rails shall be l-Beam design 1-1/2" x 3-1/2"

Finish is mill finish aluminum

Walk-through Rails, where specified, shall extend no less than 42" above the landing and shall be fitted with aluminum pipe handrails no less than 1.5 inches in diameter

Safety Cages, are as required on all ladders over 20 feet, cage must begin at 8' above the base of the ladder.  Ladder shall be fabricated from 3/16" x 1-1/2" aluminum bar alloy 6063-T5.

Security Door, optional requirement, shall be formed with .125-inch thick aluminum sheet alloy 5005.  To prevent passage to the back side of the ladder and forcing the security door, security panels shall extend on both sides, perpendicular to the door face, to within 2 inches of the wall.  Eight Foot (8') Security Door shall be finished complete with a continuous aluminum piano hinge and heavy duty locking hasp.

Safety Post, optional requirement, Model #SP400.  Pre-assembled, 5' steel post painted yellow that attached to the top two rungs of a roof access ladder.  The Safety Post provides a convenient and safe way of climbing off and onto the ladder.  SP-400 meets ANSI A14.3 and OSHA requirements.

Specifications:

Rungs shall be 3/4" diameter round bar (A-36 steel) by 18" long with 12" between rungs.

Ladder side rails shall be 3/8" x 2-1/2" flat bar (A-36 steel).

Standard finish shall be safety gray with other color options available.

Walk-through rails, where specified shall extend no less than 42" above the landing and shall be fitted with steel tube handrails no less than 1.5" in diameter.

Safety Cages as required on all ladders over 20-feet, shell be fabricated from 3/16" hot roiled, flat bar steel.

Security Door (optional) shall be formed with 10 GA. Steel and furnished with a continuous welded piano hinge and heavy duty forged steel locking hasp.  Standard Size 18" x 72".
